ASB

ASB Membership

The Associated Student Body (ASB) at Wainwright is a group of elected and appointed student leaders, classroom representatives, and two ASB advisors who work together to create fun, engaging experiences for all students throughout the school year.

Student Council members develop leadership skills by planning and organizing school activities, dances, elementary socials, spirit days, service projects, and fundraisers. They also represent the voices and ideas of their classmates, promote school spirit, and help build a positive school community.

Purchasing an ASB card is much more than middle school sports. Your ASB card also provides discounted admission to elementary school socials and middle school dances, making it is a great value for students and families.

What is an elementary social? Elementary socials are fun, themed after-school events where students can enjoy crafts, group activities, music, photo opportunities, and concessions available for purchase. These events give students a chance to connect with friends, make new memories, and celebrate together in a safe, welcoming school environment.

What is a middle school dance? Middle school dances are supervised, school-sponsored afterschool events where students can socialize with friends, enjoy music from a DJ or playlist, dance, participate in fun activities, and purchase concessions. These dances provide a safe and welcoming environment for students to build friendships, celebrate school spirit, and create lasting memories together. Students with an ASB card receive discounted admission to middle school dances.

Funds from ASB card sales and ASB-sponsored fundraisers help support student activities, school events, and programs that build school spirit and create lasting memories for our students. Whether your child participates in athletics, attends dances, or enjoys school socials, an ASB card is a great way to save money while supporting the activities that make our school community special.

Student Council elections are held every spring. Any student who is interested in serving as a leader is encouraged to participate. Serving on Student Council is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills, work with peers, and have a voice in planning activities and making a positive impact on our school.
